About Me

I am an existential psychotherapist and counsellor and member of the BACP and registered by the UKCP.

I trained at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, gaining a Masters Degree in 2004.

Before this I was a musician playing the viola professionally for orchestras in Scotland. During and after my counselling training I worked for Mind in Enfield as a counsellor, counselling coordinator, mental health worker and Eco-therapist.

I am an activist involved in non-violent action for global peace, social justice and human rights.

I will be as real and present as I am able. My aims is not to 'do' good therapy, as such,  but to 'be' as good a therapist as I am able, one that is sensitive, sensible and as well informed,  as possilbe. From this postion, I will facilitate therapeutic  converstations appropriate to client needs.

My expertise will help you become an expert in your own life, as only you can be. I feel particularly useful in clarifying dynamics of power so often obscured by roles and conventions. As such, the nature of relationship between us will be of utmost importance and as egalitarian, as is possible.

I abide by the UKCP code of ethics. Click here for the full version including complaints proceedure.
