I am currently offering low cost supervision (£30/ session), particularly to anyone working with gender and sexual minority clients. This could be either on-going or one off consultations supplementing usual supervision. This would be essential in situations where neither the therapist nor supervisor have had any specialist training on working with this diverse client group and one or both identify heterosexual and unacknowledged heteronomative assumptions could get in the way of the work and further damage clients.
I have recently completed the existential supervision module at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling and will complete the qualification with the leadership module in due course. I have also attended the Essentials of Sexual Minority Therapy and the Supervision of Sexual Minority Therapy Seminars with Pink Therapy (Spring 2010).
